Read reputation as evidence, not a verdict

Start with recency, detail and consistency. Specific feedback about communication, timing and whether terms were met carries more information than repeated one-word praise. A lifetime average can hide a recent change in behavior, and a platform badge only proves that the platform applied its own rule.

Anonymous-market research such as the USENIX study by Soska and Christin treats market data as an evolving dataset. Apply the same caution to an individual profile: age and volume can reduce uncertainty, but neither eliminates selective fraud, account compromise or fabricated feedback.

Check identity claims through keys carefully

A consistent PGP key can connect signed statements over time, but only after the fingerprint is established independently. A key displayed solely on a current profile could have been replaced after an account takeover. Compare the full fingerprint with an earlier trusted record and verify the exact signed statement locally using GnuPG.

Do not treat a valid signature as proof of product quality, lawful behavior or future performance. It establishes control of a key, not every claim made by its holder. See the PGP guide.

Preserve the order record before a problem

  • Save the material listing terms, price, quantity, deadlines and refund conditions.
  • Keep communications in the platform channel that its dispute process recognizes.
  • Record state changes and the displayed finalization deadline.
  • Do not include unrelated personal metadata in screenshots or files.
  • Separate facts from suspicions when writing a timeline.

This record supports a dispute; it does not guarantee a fair moderator or a functioning platform.

Apply escrow without re-learning the custodial model

Custodial escrow may delay release to a counterparty. It remains controlled by the market and cannot prevent seizure, an exit, database exposure or unilateral rule changes. Do not finalize early merely because a counterparty requests it, and confirm the actual current timer from the verified interface.

The escrow and dispute guide explains evidence and platform risk. The DOJ Hydra release is a primary example of why platform continuity cannot be assumed.

Keep payment claims within evidence

TRZN Watch does not prescribe a TorZon deposit flow from this page. For wallet and escrow presentation, see the authentic capture on the escrow guide. At the protocol level, Monero and Bitcoin have different privacy models — use the Monero guide and Bitcoin guide without treating either currency as complete anonymity.

Custodial services, exchanges, wallets, devices and counterparties may preserve records outside the chain. Minimize unnecessary custody and do not leave funds on a platform under the assumption that escrow or a displayed balance protects them.

Stop conditions

  • The complete onion address or signed source does not verify.
  • A key fingerprint changed without a signed transition from the old key.
  • Recent detailed feedback conflicts with the displayed aggregate score.
  • Terms, deadlines or escrow state cannot be recorded clearly.
  • Early finalization or an outside communication channel is demanded.
  • The potential loss exceeds what can be accepted without recourse.
