Check an Onion Address

Matches against the verified TorZon address list, locally in your browser

What this tool actually checks

This checker does one thing: it compares your input, character by character, against the three TorZon addresses we currently list as verified on the mirrors page. A match means the address you pasted is one we recognize. It is not a live signature check, and it cannot tell you whether an address we haven't seen yet is a new legitimate mirror or a fresh clone.

For that, there's no shortcut: verify the operator's PGP signature against a fingerprint you already trust, the way the PGP verification guide walks through. Clone sites can copy this page's layout too. Treat any tool, including this one, as a first filter, not a final answer.

⚠️ Common phishing pattern
• Clone addresses often start with "torzon" too, since vanity prefixes are easy to grind
• Verified TorZon addresses are 56 characters plus .onion
• Bookmark a verified address in Tor Browser once confirmed, rather than re-searching each time
• Always check the full address, not just the first few characters
How to stay safe

1. Match the full address against the mirrors page before trusting it
2. Verify the operator's PGP signature for anything this tool can't confirm
3. Enable 2FA on your TorZon account
4. Report a suspected clone through the contact page
